In this role, she supervises UT Farm Stand- a student-run program that seeks to grow and source healthy and local foods. UT Farm Stand maintains two on-campus gardens that grow fresh produce using sustainable agriculture methods. This program also holds bi-weekly farmers’ markets with the aim of making nutritious, sustainable foods accessible to the campus community. Alejandra previously worked as a grant writer and data analyst at Food for Climate League. She holds a B.S. from UC Berkeley where she worked as Food Literacy Coordinator, implementing carbon emission labels in the dining halls and advocating for healthy, plant-forward options.
