Caroline Richards

Caroline Richards is a Doctor of Musical Arts student pursuing her doctoral degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has performed at a wide range of venues such as the Percussive Arts Society International Convention and the Texas Music Educators Association. Previously, she earned her undergraduate music education degree and masters in percussion performance degree at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. She enjoys teaching in a wide range of settings including musical theater, private lessons, marching band, and percussion ensemble.  Caroline has played with many groups, including the CSU Percussion Ensemble, Philharmonic, and Wind Ensemble, and now plays for the UT Austin Wind Ensemble, University of Texas Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a part of many stage productions as an orchestra musician, including Fiddler on the Roof, The Nutcracker, and Cinderella. Outside of CSU, she has played with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as a percussionist, and the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra as a timpanist.
