Andrea Hart

Andrea L. Hart is a recent graduate from the MFA in directing program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her most recent credits include writing and directing “Murky as Hell,” and directing “Meek,” “sad women being sad,” and “Wyeth Airlines” at UT. She also created a site-specific, promenade-style devised performances. Prior to coming to UT she wrote and directed theatre in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was also co-founder and member of several small theatre companies including 6NewPlays (new work by Bay Area writers) and Ochlos Theatre Company (devised, site-specific work). In Austin she has worked with Hyde Park Theatre on new play development, has directed work for the Out of Ink Festival and was the mask designer and builder for Salvage Vanguard/KJ Sanchez co-production of “Un Año.” As a writer and deviser she has developed work at New Ohio Theatre, Great Plains Theatre Conference, MacDowell and CounterPulse, SF.
